I&#8217;m not sure who started it, and there are many versions, but it reminds us that we should be thankful for all the good things in our life, even when they don&#8217;t seem like blessings. Near the end is especially true &#8211; I&#8217;ve got a ton of laundry to fold, lol. Happy Thanksgiving!<\/p>\n<p>I AM THANKFUL<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>for the wife who says it&#8217;s hot dogs tonight,<br \/>\nbecause she is home with me, and not out with someone else.<\/li>\n<li>for the husband who is on the sofa being a couch potato<br \/>\nbecause he is home with me and not out at the bars.<\/li>\n<li>for the teenager who is complaining about doing dishes<br \/>\nbecause that means she is home not out on the streets.<\/li>\n<li>for the taxes that I pay<br \/>\nbecause it means I am employed.<\/li>\n<li>for the mess to clean up after a party<br \/>\nbecause it means I have been surrounded by friends.<\/li>\n<li>for the clothes that fit a little too snug<br \/>\nbecause it means I have enough to eat.<\/li>\n<li>for my shadow that watches me work<br \/>\nbecause it means I am out in the sunshine.<\/li>\n<li>for a lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning, and gutters that need fixing,<br \/>\nbecause it means I have a home.<\/li>\n<li>for all the complaining I hear about the government<br \/>\nbecause it means that I still have freedom of speech.<\/li>\n<li>for the parking spot I find at the far end of the parking lot,<br \/>\nbecause it means I am capable of walking and I have been blessed with transportation.<\/li>\n<li>for my huge heating bill<br \/>\nbecause it means I am warm.<\/li>\n<li>for the lady behind me in church who sings off key,<br \/>\nbecause it means I can hear.<\/li>\n<li>for the pile of laundry and ironing,<br \/>\nbecause it means I have clothes to wear.<\/li>\n<li>for weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day,<br \/>\nbecause it means I can still work hard.<\/li>\n<li>for the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours,<br \/>\nbecause it means that I am alive.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve always liked this little saying.
